DELUXE ROOMS: The 13 Deluxe rooms consist of a well-appointed master bed room with attached bath and a separate living room with a pull-out bed for 2. Aamod Tethys resort is geared to meet the demands of small to medium sized off-sites/retreats and conferences. We have the facilities to host events for up to 150 people and accommodation for up to 90 guests with flexible seating options that address different business needs. The resort is ideal for corporate outings, banquets, product launching, dealer meets, training sessions and annual meets. The management focuses on MICE (Meeting, Incentive Tour, Conference and Exhibition) in serving the corporate community.

The distinctive environs of Narkanda offer a host of options that make the area ideal for trekking, to visit a local village, to go on orchard tours, take part in Yoga and meditation sessions, visit the nearby Hatu Hill or go for river rafting at Sutlej River. Narkanda at an altitude of 9000 feet provide a perfect platform for mountain biking, summer camping, Nature walks, horse riding and skiing in winters.

The resort is paradise in winters for skiing and sledding enthusiasts and for anyone who wishes to venture out in the snow and enjoy snow sports. There is a walking access to snow typically till the middle of May. In summers, when the snow gives way to carpets of grass and flowers, hikers and trekkers will find numerous marked walks and mountain bike trails and the water sports enthusiasts can go down to the Sutlej for a stint at river rafting. Summers are extremely pleasant and the deodar and oak trees add to the fragrant air to promote natural health. There are indicative timings provided with each activity, but really - you decide what you want to do for how long and we will build it around your preferences.

Skiing and winter sports: Narkanda boasts excellent and the most easily accessible ski-slopes in the country which makes it fun for the guests. Compared to most other locations which are 14-15 hrs from Delhi, Narkanda is just 8-9 hrs away. We have our own skiing equipment and instructors for our guests. So whether it is a half-day fun-activity or a more intensive structured learning programme, we can tailor it to your requirements.

Take the thrill ride or do sledging or just frolicking around in the snow - something to suit everyone's fancy in a relatively quieter and more private location.

River Rafting: Sutlej Grandeur - Sutlej basin below Narkanda provides a unique opportunity to have adrenalin rush through the low gradient rapids. Sutlej River from Tibet Mansarovar meanders through the gorges with beautiful views of the rice fields and low-lying villages on both sides of the basin. An hour's drive from resort leaves you at the basin. Enjoy rafting with packed lunch served hot. Approximate driving time: 1hour.

'Pick-your-own apples, cherries' Orchard Tours: Walk to the surrounding villages to feel the splendour of typical pahari flavour. Enjoy the pleasure of plucking and eating apples, cherries, apricots, plums straight from the trees in the blooming orchards. Visit the local village to get a deeper insight of the local habitat and cuisine.

Mountain Jeep Safaris: Ride through the hilly terrain and feel the gush of clean air cleansing your lungs and rejuvenating you. The surrounding village sojourns or a ride through the calm forests is tranquilizing. akeside and orchard Camps: Hill lakes are crispy, clear water destinations for the rejuvenating experience. The trail leads from Narkanda to the apple country of India. The camp is set around the lake encircled by the mighty deodar and pine forest and on the east end a beautiful richly carved temple is exotic. Or camp amidst the apple orchard loaded with the fruit and a strong essence of the hill culture.

A walk in the woods: As the hills are covered with rich vegetation covers comprising of the pine. Oak, deodars, silver fur and rhododendron trees with a wild profusion of flowers and herbs, nature walks through the woods is a rejuvenating experience. Picnic set-ups can be done (highly recommended) along the trail.

School camps (summer activities or winter sports): The camping grounds in an around Narkanda provides an idyllic setting for the school camps. With natural beautiful settings numerous activities can be done with, like trekking, rock climbing, zumaring, river crossing, Burma Bridge and treasure hunt. Evenings are warm and vibrant around a bonfire and meal and tents are of good standards. Winter camps around snow sports can also be organised.

Hatu Trail: Hatu hillock at 11,500ft is a beautiful spur ornamented with the temple of goddess Kali offering majestic views and a deep insight into the Great Himalayan Range. The gradual path of 5miles winds up from the Hotel to the Hatu Hill that remains under a thick blanket of snow till the onset of summers (till mid-May). Hatu top provides beautiful and majestic views of the Himalayas and the surrounding pahari hamlets. Approximate time: 3hours.

Village and Orchard Trail: Traverse through the meandering paths dotted with apple orchards to the tiny but richly carved wooden houses. The surrounding villages provide an aura of hill couture and an insight into the local folk culture and traditions. The 10mile trail leads from the hotel to Thanedar village; the apple country of India. Approximate time: 2hours.

Horse Riding To Hatu: Hatu hill at 11500ft is a turf with wild profusion of flowers, providing with aerial view of the surrounding villages and valleys. The route meanders itself with a gradual ascent through the dense woods of pine, spruce deodars rhododendron and chestnut trees. The lush green meadow adds lustre to the place.

If one is lucky enough a chance of spotting a nomadic shepherd with thousand sheep are bright, relinquished and awarded with fresh goat's milk! Approx. time: 3hours

From the Mall road in Shimla to State museum and Tara Devi temple, Shmila is dotted with exciting options to visit. Following is an exhaustive list of tourist places in Shimla and around:

The Mall: The Mall, like most hill stations in North India, is the main shopping centre of Shimla. It is the best market for the handicrafts of Himachal Pradesh. Woollen and pashmina shawls, decorative items, handmade shoes, dolls, woollen caps, carved wooden sticks, toys and other items made from wood are on sale in the Lakkar Bazar. Tibetan jewellery and trinkets are found in the small Tibetan shops near the Ridge. Situated on the Ridge is Christ Church, which is the second oldest church in Northern India. It has a very majestic appearance and inside there are stained glass windows which represent faith, hope, charity, fortitude, patience and humility. The entire place becomes breathtakingly romantic in the evening offering wonderful views of the lit up city below. You can laze around the Mall and spend some intimate moments with close ones.

Jakhu Hill: At a height of 8000 ft, Jakhu Hill is the highest peak and offers a beautiful view of the town and of the snow-covered Himalayas. At the top of the Hill, is an old temple, which is also the home of countless playful monkeys waiting to be fed by all visitors. It is built in the Nagari style with a tiled roof. The temple at the centre of a group of sculpted stones shrines overlooks the river and offers good views. Inside the temple, Lord Shiva has been depicted as the lord of the three worlds; at the Panchvakhra, he has five faces, expressing his five aspects.

Himachal State Museum: The Museum, which was opened in 1974, has tried to project hill-out and the cultural wealth of the state. Art objects in the Museum collection are mostly related to art, archaeology and cultural anthropology of Himachal and other states of India. At present, Museum has about 9000 objects in its collection. At the outset, Museum started with four galleries. Since then more galleries have been added. These galleries pertain to pre- historic, Indian archaeology, woodcarvings, Himachal archaeology, pahari miniature paintings, monuments& photographs, Rajasthan paintings, bronzes, numismatic, arms gallery, Gandhi gallery, philatelic, anthropological, contemporary art & wall paintings gallery. In addition to these galleries museum has one exhibition hall for arranging the exhibition and other museum activities.

Indian Institute of Advanced Studies: This institute is housed in the Viceregal Lodge, which was built in 1884-88 during the British times. It has spacious gardens and is ringed by beautiful pine trees. All is calm and serene just the right atmosphere for a student of literature or politics.

Annandale: Developed as the playground of Shimla, Annandale is 2-4 kms from the Ridge at a height of 6,117 ft. It is a favourite spot for cricket, picnics and the princely game of polo. An army golf course is also located here.

Kalyani Helipad: Situated near chharabra is located on a hill top surrounded by towering deodar trees & lush green forest offering a spectacular panoramic view of vast valleys on three sides.

Mashobra: Mashobra has several excellent picnic spots & offers ideal walks amidst oak and pine trees. It is also the site of the annual Sipi fair in June.

Tara Devi: Tara Devi has a temple dedicated to the goddess of stars on top of the hill. There is a military Dairy Town here as well as the headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides. At a height of 6,070 ft. Tara Devi is an ideal place for a person wanting peace and some rest.

Craignano: This is another beautiful spot a little ahead of Mashobra. It's a municipal corporation rest house with green lawns full of flowers and a nice picnic spot.

Naldehra: Under a skyline etched with conifers, Naldehra offers a well groomed nine-hole Golf course; designed by Lord Curzon undulating hills and giant deodars, make it a unique spot for picnics.

Tattapani: Situated on the bank of river Sutlej is well known for its hot springs. River rafting commencing from Chaba terminates here.

Kufri: 16 kms ahead of Shimla at a height of 8,600 feet, Kufri is the winter sports capital. The skiing season is at its best during January and February. Apart from skiing, Kufri is a lovely picnic spot with a beautiful view of the hills around and the snowy peaks. There is also a zoo that delights children.

Fagu: Fagu (near Kufri) is a vantage point on national highway with a panoramic view of ranges and valleys. It serves as a good base for exploring the nearby countryside which is flooded with orchards and forests.

Jatoli Shiv Temple: This is a very old temple and every year an annual fair is organised here on the occasion of Mahashivratri, which makes it a must see place, just 6-kms away from Solan.

Bon Monastery (Yung Drung Ling): 12-kms from Solan, this monastery is the second oldest monastery in the world after the one present in Tibet.

Chail: It combines the charm and beauty of a remote and peaceful mountain resort with the splendor and elegance of a princely reserve. Chail was the summer capital of the Maharaja of Patiala before Independence. The verdant forests around Chail are alive with many species of birds and deer.

Barog: A verdant place of considerable scenic charm and beauty affording extensive views of high mountains stretching range after range and valleys swooping down the Haryana and Punjab plains.

Kasauli: It is charming and quiet; an ideal place for those in search of peace and relaxation. Kasauli is known for dainty English cottages set in flower laden gardens.

Arki: Once the capital of pricely state of Baghal, Arki has experienced many historical events from time to time. It also had been a centre of miniature paintings & famous for Ast Nayika Frescos executed in the Arki Kalam

Jabli: It provides joy ride on a tram (rope way trolley) from Jabli to Nandoh near /kasauli covering a distance of more than 1200 metre through pine forests & picturesque surroundings is exciting & refreshing.
